(well actually its almost 22k because of the “acts of God”)… it’s upgraded 1.1mt… i’m looking forward to joining your crew of getzers.. i will definitely ask you about stuff.. hehehe…

Hi Ganns, your website “inspired” me to get my own Getz. Will probably take home an upgraded unit this October.

I’m just curious to know (and just to boost my confidence level, I guess), after 2 years with Gina, do you still think you made the right decision picking a Getz over a Vios 1.3J? (Yes, I also have this dilemma)

Hi Ivan! Thank you for your kind words.

I haven’t had the opportunity to drive a Vios 1.3J, so I can’t quite make the comparison. Offhand, I think the Vios can offer you 1) better resale value; and 2) more trunk space, but I think that’s the extent of it. The new Getzes out from Hyundai are awesome now, with stereos that plug into iPods and can play mp3s, more leg room at the back, everything is power (windows, steering, etc.), and it comes with a host of freebies, including chattel, insurance, and three-year registration. (I didn’t get some of that when I first bought my Getz.)

You’ve read on my blog how happy I am with my Getz, and I trust and hope you will be pleased too. Just email me if you need to ask anything. I’ll be straightforward and honest in my answers.

Hi Nate! Thank you for your kind words. If your tires are typical Getz-recommended tires (175/70 R13), it’s best you keep a 30PSI on your tires, 33 at most if you tend to drive your Getz fully loaded with people or things.
